Words of Carl Jung
Hello lovely ones and happy New Moon in Virgo which takes place on 9.30pm PST on Tuesday 19 September 2017 (adjust for your timezone) at 27 degrees of the mutable earth sign of Virgo.
This is the first New Moon following the powerful Leo total solar eclipse of August 21 and this New Moon marks the official end of Mercury retrograde, with the finale of the post retrograde shadow.
Soulstrology says that this New Moon provides a powerful cosmic window in which to bring order to the chaos of the last couple of months.
Between the eclipses and a potent Mercury retrograde, cosmic curve balls may have been thrown at many of us.
For some, this may have resulted in unexpected yet welcome change.
For others it may have been less positive with the rug being pulled out from underneath, or being blindsided in some way.
For some it may be that nothing unexpected happened, but instead that life has felt on hold, a little sticky, in a rut of sorts, or a void between seasons.
At this Virgo New Moon we each have opportunity to bring order to any chaos of the last few months and to make progress where we may have felt stuck or stifled since mid-summer (late July).
In the natural zodiac Virgo is the ruler of the sixth house, governing our daily routine and lifestyle, including our work and service to others and our health - mind, body and soul.
This sign is ruled by Mercury, alongside Gemini.
However, unlike multitasking Gemini who sees the big picture, Virgo is all about the details.
With a discerning eye, this sign is capable of digesting and assimilating vast amounts of information, and giving it order and meaning.
This is also the sign of service and health.
If you know any Virgo/Virgo risings you will notice that they have an innate desire to 'serve'.
It is one of the key facets of their cosmic DNA, alongside a preoccupation with routine and order and a focus on health and all matters of the mind, body and soul.
Soulstrology says that Virgo's modus operandi is purification and bringing order.
Purifying the mind, body and soul and bringing alignment.
Transmuting chaos to bring order.
Whatever sign you are and whatever you have experienced the last couple of months, this Virgo New Moon offers you the opportunity to purify your life (with a focus on the natural zodiac Virgo themes as above, alongside the life areas Virgo rules in your unique natal chart) as well as to bring order and harmony.
However, Soulstrology warns us that the New Moon itself may thrown out another cosmic curveball to show us exactly what we need to purify and where we need to bring order.
This cosmic curveball could arrive because of two very powerful cosmic aspects which are at play at this New Moon.
The first is the opposition of both the Sun and Moon (who as always are conjoined together at a New Moon) to Chiron, the wounded healer.
An opposition is a tense cosmic aspect which forces matters out into the open and acts as a catalyst for change.
With the Sun (our consciousness and desire) and the Moon (our emotions and our emotional needs) opposing Chiron, our wounds may be triggered around this New Moon.
The fact that Mercury, the ruler of Virgo and therefore this New Moon, is finally truly direct post the retrograde means that matters which need healing from mid July onward may now be reactivated in some way and brought back to our attention.
As much as Chiron can seem intimidating, (as wounds of course can be!) Soulstrology says that in truth Chiron shows us, yes where we have a wound, but also where we have great opportunity for healing and bringing light into our lives.
At this time, we are focused on transiting Chiron who is in Pisces opposing this Virgo New Moon.
Therefore it is both the Virgo and Pisces ruled parts of your chart that are being activated at this cosmic window and may experience the themes of wounds and healing, chaos and order.
Soulstrology points out that there is another opposition at play at this New Moon, which whilst not exact, is brewing (with the two planets dancing in a wide opposition) and will come to a head with an exact opposition on September 28.
This takes place between Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries.
With Jupiter being the cosmic benefic, and Uranus the cosmic change agent, it is quite likely that this unexpected change will be ultimately beneficial.
However, with Libra ruling relationships in the natural zodiac and Aries ruling personal autonomy it may be that friction is created in close relationships of all kinds, such friction ultimately serving as a catalyst for positive change.
With the backdrop of the Chiron aspect, it is further possible that wounds may come up in close relationships which need healing and transmuting into wisdom.
Soulstrology says that each of us need to consider the above natural zodiac life themes ruled by Aries and Libra, as well as the life areas governed by Aries and Libra in our unique natal charts to understand where there may be some friction and tension (or even wounds exposed) to force change, and bring healing, purifying and order.
Turning now to the title of this blog and the words of Carl Jung.
You may recall that the Soulstrology theme for September was Holy Shifts.
And that at times that Holy Shift can have us saying Holy Sh*t!
However, Soulstrology says that every bit of chaos and upheaval that we experience serves a divine purpose.
Indeed sometimes it is created by our higher selves in order to bring our human selves into further alignment with our true self and purpose.
As Jung says, within chaos exists a cosmos.
And what is the cosmos? A universe of natural order.
So even in seeming disorder in our lives is a cosmos of perfect order.
There is method to the seeming madness and order within the disorder!
Our job at this Virgo New Moon is not to try and change what has happened, not to try and force events to go our way as forcing something to happen, pushing too hard is when we are working against the natural order of the universe and usually ends up spectacularly backfiring!
Rather, our job at this New Moon is to look around at our present situation and to sieve through the details to find meaning and bring order.
To purify and heal our external circumstances by first purifying, healing and aligning our mind, body and soul and our daily routine and lifestyle.
If the oppositions at this New Moon throw you cosmic curveballs then re-read this blog and remember that there is order in the disorder and that all is unfolding as it is meant to.
Soulstrology says that nothing you experience is random.
Neither is it a punishment.
It all has purpose and a place in the divine order of your life and you are being pushed in the direction you need to go in.
All you need to do is surrender to the process and focus not on the bigger picture, but to take care of the details.
Take care of the day to day.
Take care of yourself - mind, body and soul.
Purify, cleanse and bring order to all areas of your daily life.
And before you know it the bigger picture will unfold exactly as it is meant to.
Not only better than you may have imagined, but also for your highest good and the greater good of all.
Mantras for the Virgo New Moon:
I embrace chaos as a catalyst for positive change.
I focus on purifying and healing my mind, body and soul and bringing order and harmony to my daily routine.
I trust that my job is to take care of myself first so that I can share from a place of abundance.
I know that serving myself will serve others, my soul purpose and bring all my destined blessings to me in perfect divine timing.
And so it is.
I am wishing you all a healing, purifying New Moon and a lunar cycle which brings order to chaos and has you laughing with gratitude at the cosmos which was supporting and guiding you all along....
Happy New Moon!
