July 2018: Turning point

Ambi Sitham

Welcome to eclipse season....

Welcome to eclipse season....

Hello lovely ones and happy July!

We are officially halfway through the year and about to hit eclipse season.

*And on that note - Los Angelenos and those visiting, please come hang with me at Wanderlust in Hollywood on Friday July 6th for an eclipse season Soulstrology Soundbath to help navigate the month ahead!*

Onwards... it is safe to say that despite the mass planetary retrograde, July 2018 will serve us a turning point for each of us...

Eclipses bring change, regardless of planetary retrogrades.

Even if we don't see the changes immediately, they will be activated this month by the mid month solar eclipse and the end of month lunar eclipse (which is said to be the longest lasting eclipse of the century!)

As a reminder eclipses act as cosmic activators in relation to the life areas ruled by the parts of our charts that they fall in.

This month we will see the beginning of the eclipses in the Cancer/Capricorn family which will see a series of eclipses in the Cancer and Capricorn ruled parts of the zodiac (and our charts) through to 2020.

Cancer in the natural zodiac rules our family, home, domestic life and everything that comes with that - patriotism, childhood memories, loved ones, our domestic/private selves, our homes, extended family and our 'people'.

Regardless of where Cancer rules in our charts, we are all asked to think about these areas of life over the next couple of weeks and leading up to the mid month solar eclipse.

The Aquarius Full Moon at the end of July is a total lunar eclipse and is somewhat ominously referred to as the blood moon (it looks as though the moon turns red) and is said to be the longest lasting eclipse of the century...it will be intense...

In addition to this we have Mars (ruling war, action, leadership, energy, manifesting, sex, desire and more) in retrograde motion dancing right by the South node (past life karma/baggage) of the Moon for most of the month.

Just as the recent Capricorn Full Moon illuminated may have illuminated some old karma to deal with, so too this month brings more of the same...

I don't blame you if you are scrunching your face whilst reading this.

Many of the aspects of the month ahead are fierce, there is no doubt about that.

As a result it is likely to be a disruptive, and even turbulent month for many.

However Soulstrology teaches us that we are not to fear these aspects.

Yes these aspects are intense and can create tension in our lives but they also serve as the catalyst for much needed change.

Ultimately it is up to us as to how we work with the energies of the month ahead to channel them for our highest good.

But either way, whether we are passive, reactive or proactive - whatever we do, or don't do - this month will serve as a significant turning point for 2018.

I like this quote by Pierre Trudeau which is a lovely lens through which to view change and turning points in our lives.

'My life is one long curve, full of turning points'

It is a good quote to keep in mind this month as life may bend bringing turning points which squeeze our senses but ultimately serve us..

Mantra of the month:

I embrace the concept that life is always at some turning point

I trust that whatever changes life brings this month are ultimately the turning points I need to help me to move forward to the next season of life

I choose to be grounded, level headed and peaceful and to nurture myself mind, body and soul so that I can maintain this state of being even in times of flux

I am wishing you all a magical month ahead.

May the turning point this month be just what you need to help you enter the next season of life.

Love,

Ambi x

August 2017: Dancing with the winds of change

Ambi Sitham

Hello lovely ones and welcome to August 2017 and eclipse season!

With the sun in fiery Leo for the month, a powerful Jupiter/Pluto aspect,  a lunar and solar eclipse and Mercury Retrograde, all I can say is - expect the unexpected this month!

As we all know eclipse season brings the winds of change.

Soulstrology says that Jupiter square Pluto at the start of August indicates powerful transformation, good fortune and a rebirth of sorts is on the cards for many this month ahead.

Mercury retrograde as always can bring back the past, for healing and/or closure or for opportunity and a sweet new beginning.

Either way, change is the theme of August.

For some this change may be welcome, planned or long anticipated.

For others it may manifest as an abrupt, unseen or unwelcome ending.

Soulstrology says that whatever manifests for us this month is in divine cosmic order and that we must not only keep the faith that all is unfolding exactly as it ought to but also trust that the events of this month are for our highest good in the bigger picture of our destiny.

When we experience sudden change it often results in us freezing or being floored.

Or sometimes we fight against the direction of the winds, forcing ourselves to move against the natural rhythm of cosmic change, staggering and gasping for air as we do so.

Change isn't always welcome or easy and is often far from pleasant.

But it is the only constant.

This month whether you are experiencing welcome changes or have the rug pulled from underneath you, trust that your only job is to dance with the winds of change.

Dancing with the winds of change is to dance with your eyes closed as though no-one is watching.

Lose any self-consciousness, shut out external distractions, tune into your heart and dance to the rhythm of change with grace and joy, trusting you are being led to your destiny.

As always I will write detailed blogs for the Full Moon/Lunar eclipse and New Moon/Solar eclipse.

Members can expect the scoop on all the other cosmic activity including a Soulstrology guide to Mercury retrograde and the eclipses.

Below are the key cosmic dates for your diary.

February 2017: Fearless flow

Ambi Sitham

Hello lovely ones and welcome to February 2017!

After a sluggish start to the new year the pace is now going to pick up and 2017 is going to start to take shape.

February brings eclipse season. The first set of eclipses of 2017 will take place in Leo and Pisces.

Eclipses always bring change. They bring endings for new beginnings.

They bring what may seem like sudden change but really these changes have been marinating in the cosmic ether for sometime and the eclipses simply activate them into the physical realm.

Sometimes these changes can be happy, welcome changes that thrust a person into a new chapter of their life.

Sometimes they can feel as though the rug is being pulled from underneath us with an ending that seems imposed by the universe.

Soulstrology says that there is no good or bad.

That there are silver linings to be found in the clouds of our lives and equally blessings can turn into disappointments at best and curses at worst!

Everything is simply potential and it is up to each of us to harness the highest vibration of that potential for our highest good and the greater good of all.

It is up to each of us to choose which filter we apply which will determine how we view a life event.

I always remind people of this when I do their transit reports. I explain how two people can experience near identical astrological transits with completely different outcomes for each of them.

The difference between the two is their consciousness and their actions, and importantly their reactions to events.

Nothing is guaranteed by the cosmos! The stars impel but do not compel.

It is up to each of us to co-create the life we desire and to navigate the bumps and forks in the road.

This month we will see many sweeping changes in the world around us.

Each of us will also experience significant changes in our own lives.

Even if the change is not yet visible the seeds will be planted this month and will flower come the Spring Solstice.

Soulstrology says that our only job this month is to be fearless. To allow ourselves to be in flow.

To not fight what is happening but to find a way to flow with the changes, to work with whatever the cosmos throws at us this month.

To be grounded regardless of what the winds of change bring.

Mantra for the month courtesy of Virginia Woolf: – I am rooted, but I flow

March 2016: Spring into new beginnings

Canvas

ambi-march-image-1.jpg

Hello lovely ones and welcome to March 2016! After a sluggish start to the year, many of you may have noticed that 2016 is picking up pace. Here we are in March, with the first eclipses of 2016 around the corner with the Spring equinox sandwiched in between.

March is set to be a game changer of a month with major turning points and a new season beckoning for us all. This is largely down to the two eclipses; a total solar eclipse in Pisces on March 8th and a partial lunar eclipse in Libra on March 23rd.

Eclipses are huge events in the heavens. At a solar eclipse we lose sight of the sun as the moon stands between the sun and earth. At a lunar eclipse we lose sight of the moon as the earth stands between the moon and the sun. As above, so below, and twice yearly eclipses take place opening cosmic doors of opportunity. Eclipses are about sudden changes and growth, and sometimes that growth can be forced by the circumstances (a little like the rug being pulled from underneath us) hence why they often prove to be dramatic times for us and those around us. Eclipses are all about endings (lunar eclipses) and sweet new beginnings (solar eclipses). We have to have endings for beginnings although our egos can struggle with this, especially when it is forced upon us (losing a job, a break up, even deaths etc) but these endings are necessary so that we set sail on a new course.

But I think you are all probably getting the hint by now that March is all about springing into a new season! How it will manifest for each of you depends on how the eclipses hit your unique natal chart (and keep your eye on the Soulstrology learn tab where there will be updates for those of you who want to learn more). For now, look at which houses Pisces and Libra rule in your natal chart, as well as where Neptune and Jupiter (the co-rulers of Pisces) and Venus (ruler of Libra) are found. It is the areas of life that those houses govern which will give you the hint as to how this month of eclipses is going to shake up your life, and hopefully set you on a new course.

Asides from the eclipses we also have the Spring Equinox which falls on Sunday March 20th just a few days before the Libra lunar eclipse. At the Spring Equinox (also known as the Vernal Equinox) the plane of the earth's equator passes through the centre of the sun making night and day of equal length. The Spring Equinox marks the end of winter and the return of the sun and longer, lighter days. Spiritually, the Spring Equinox marks resurrection and rebirths, a return to the light within, which is then reflected externally by events in our lives.

Eclipses = sweeping changes. Spring Equinox = sweet new beginnings. Yes indeed, this month will mark the turning point for all of us in at least one area of our lives.

Onward to another couple of big planetary movements in the heavens this month.

Mars, the planet of energy and action, moves into Sagittarius on March 5th. And as Mars is going to go retrograde in April (this happens every 18 months or so) he is going to spend nearly 7 months in Sagittarius! My sun is in Sagittarius so I am buckling up for the ride. This transit of Mars may affect Sagittarius sun and risings, Aries and Aries rising and all the mutable signs (Pisces, Virgo, Gemini and Sagittarius) the most, but all of you will be feeling  the energy of this long Mars transit in the house which Sagittarius rules in your natal chart (where you have Sagittarius on the cusp) and the house in which Mars is found.

Jupiter (expansion, good fortune, spirituality, abundance) makes a trine (a very positive aspect) to Pluto (destruction, rebirth, phoenix rising from the ashes) on March 16th. This means that the two houses which are experiencing transits from Jupiter and Pluto will be experiencing the positive energies of these planets which result in a fortuitous new beginning/rebirth for those areas of life. This cosmic kiss between Jupiter and Pluto occurs smack bang in the middle of the eclipses and just before the Spring Equinox, again adding to the flavour of the positive new changes that are being seeded this month.

The month draws to an end with Saturn turning retrograde in Sagittarius on March 25th. This will be a five month retrograde which will see us all review our commitments and responsibilities.

Please note I don't mention every single astrological aspect above, just the ones that I feel drawn to talk about for the purposes of this cosmic update, but I will also post on Facebook and Instagram about some of the other aspects. And I will write more fully on both eclipses, the Spring Equinox, Mars retrograde and Saturn retrograde on this site.

In the meantime I am wishing you all a wonderful start to March!

Love
