Hello lovely ones! I hope this finds you all well and enjoying the last days of Aries season.
As I am sure you are aware we are approaching a Full Moon, the second consecutive Full Moon in Libra, which takes place this Friday April 19 at 4.17am PT (adjust as always for your timezone).
As you may recall, last month’s Libra Full Moon coincided with the Spring Equinox (for those of us in the northern hemisphere with our friends in the southern hemisphere enjoying the Fall Equinox).
March’s Libra Full Moon fell at zero degrees of Libra whereas Friday’s Libra Full Moon falls at 29 degrees of Libra.
Both the beginning and end degrees of any zodiac sign are known as the critical degrees as they are extra potent - if you imagine that zero degrees is the beginning of a sign represents the fullest expression and all the energies of that sign and then the end degree (29 degrees) is the end of that sign and represents the transition into another sign.
This means that cosmic events which take place at either of the critical degrees of any zodiac signs, are extra powerful windows of opportunity to work with but in turn can also feel extremely intense.
We must harness any intensity which we feel at this time as powerful energy to work with to make the most of the Soulstrology themes at play which we will dive into shortly.
Firstly, as always look carefully at where you have Libra ruling in your unique chart.
For a simple review, you can use the Soulstrology zodiac guide below to this Libra Full Moon which sets out the life areas being highlighted at this time.
As always, read for both your Sun and Rising sign.
If you know your chart well, do check where you may have any planets that might be hovering near the Sun at 29 degrees of Aries (use a four degree orb so anything around 25 degrees of Aries may get triggered and equally anything the other side of Aries, so 3 degrees of Taurus may also get triggered) and/or any planets hovering around 25 degrees of Libra and/or 3 degrees of Scorpio).
I know I mention other zodiac pairs above but that is because the Sun/Moon axis at this Full Moon takes place at the end degrees of both Aries and Libra and therefore even planets/points in our charts in the early degrees of the next signs (Taurus/Scorpio) can be triggered at this time and so it is important to note them as those planets/points in our charts may also be up for cosmic consideration at this Full Moon.
Onward to the Soulstrology theme of this Libra Full Moon: Change is the only constant.
In many ways this concept is the essence of Soulstrology.
That we are constantly riding different cosmic waves and themes of consciousness that ask us to change ourselves and change our lives.
That there are different seasons and chapters of life that celestial events will usher in.
The tougher, challenging aspects which push us to dig deep and do the harder internal work of transformation (hello certain Saturn, Pluto and Chiron aspects to our natal charts!) and then the more harmonious aspects which bring a sense of ease and flow, opportunity and luck (hello certain Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter and Venus aspects!) and then of course the ones that pull the rug out from underneath us and turn our worlds (and indeed the beloved world which we all inhabit) upside down (hello Uranus, Pluto, Chiron aspects!).
The point is, as my wise Mum says, there are good times and bad times, but no time ever lasts, everyone experiences highs and lows and different seasons and chapters of life.
This can be so unsettling to us human beings because our human selves (our egos) want the security of stability and certainty. I think it is fair to say that most of us inherently dislike change and struggle with the currents of change, sometimes feeling as though we are drowning.
But change IS the only constant.
And once we wrap our heads around this concept and ACCEPT it as the natural law and order of the universe, we will not only find a certain degree of peace through that acceptance/surrender but will also find we can work with the currents of change for what they are.
I say ‘for what they are’ because each cosmic theme of change will bring different energies (as referred to above) and although some may not be to our preference, that does not mean that they do not serve a powerful purpose in our lives.
But turning now to this Full Moon and the concept of change being the only constant in relation to the Libra ruled parts of our lives.
As you all probably know by now, in the natural zodiac, which applies to each of us, Libra rules partnerships of all kinds - platonic, professional and romantic.
Our important relationships/partnerships are therefore in the cosmic spotlight at this time, including of course, the most important relationship of all - our relationship with ourselves.
We must understand and accept that all relationships, no matter how close, loving or important, regardless of what role they play in our lives, are subject to change.
In some cases this change can even mean the end of a relationship once it has reached its natural conclusion and served its karmic role in our soul’s journey and our evolution in this lifetime.
In other long term relationships, of any type, we must expect that they will be subject to change and different seasons bringing different energies; in some bringing challenges, in others bringing lightness and luck.
And of course we experience different seasons in the relationships with ourselves.
Some seasons are like Fall and/or Winter in which we experience loss, death or decay, we feel the harshness of a seasonal climate which may seem bleak.
Other seasons will be like Spring and Summer where we see new parts of ourselves, and therefore our lives, beginning to blossom and flower.
Seasons in which we are able to shine fully and enjoy the light and warmth that season is bringing our way.
At this Libra Full Moon the cosmos is asking us to look carefully at our partnerships and to understand the season we are in, what this means and what this brings for us, or perhaps accept a season that is coming to an end, or embrace a new season which is around the corner (or in some cases perhaps begrudging or reluctantly acknowledging…).
If we can understand and accept that our most important relationships, just like our lives are similarly subject to the ebbing and flowing of the ocean’s tides and the waxing and waning of la luna, we can approach them with more objectivity, curiosity as opposed to fear, and acceptance as opposed to resistance.
In doing so we can grow enormously as individuals (the purpose of this entire spiritual path) and in turn as we grow, learn so much about ourselves and others. As we integrate these lessons, we align further with our higher selves and can of course receive more of the goodness that the cosmos has to offer us, aka manifest what is for our highest good.
It’s a win/win for us yet sometimes our egos/human selves really resist change in a way which means we are not flowing with the cosmic tides of change and stops us from growing.
We end up exerting a lot of energy to ultimately stay stuck, and often miserable…
Food for thought as we approach this Full Moon…and remember, we will be applying these themes to the Libra ruled parts of our unique charts in our cosmic coaching and ritual (more on this in your Soulstrology Scopes coming soon).
Turning now to the other planetary aspects taking place at this Full Moon and the themes of consciousness they create for us to work with.
Saturn sits once again (as he is for most of the month of April) side by side the South Node (past life, our comfort zone, karmic baggage) in opposition to the North Node (what we are supposed to reach for, what may be uncomfortable, but ultimately our destiny).
This aspect brings once again a karmic feel to events at this second Libra Full Moon, to our relationships and to what bubbles up in the lunar spotlight.
What we may experience at this time, whatever changes are being brought our way are karmic and destined in many ways.
For some this may be a beautiful new season and welcome change (stepping into that North node).
For others this may be a tougher season and challenging change (working with that South node and Saturn in order to step into the North node).
Pluto sits alongside Saturn and the South node bringing his powerful energies of transformation, destruction and rebirth.
There is undoubtedly an energy of endings for beginnings (which as you may recall was very much the theme of the last Libra Full Moon) and of transformation and a new season for each of us to embrace, meaning a season to also bid farewell to.
Either way the energies of Saturn, Pluto and the karmic energies of the nodes are providing a path to the next chapter and season of our lives and in turn we must do what is necessary to progress on that path, in other words work with the energies.
We need to be mindful of how we perceive things at this Full Moon due to Neptune in Pisces making a tense square aspect to both the Sun and Moon.
This can cause confusion and may make it difficult for us to truly see things (and ourselves and others) as they are.
As always with Full Moons I advise to let a couple of days or so (perhaps until after the weekend) to pass so that we can let the intensity of the lunar energies lessen and can see things a bit more clearly.
Thankfully Jupiter in Sagittarius imbues a sense of hope, optimism and where needed healing, through his sextile aspect to the Moon and trine to the Sun.
Both these aspects are helpful for us to work with at this time, to heal what may need to be healed and to have optimism that we can transform certain situations or work with the energies for our highest good.
And of course for some this may be about embracing the magic of miracles that a new season is bringing and celebrating as Full Moons are also about events coming to celebratory completion!
Jupiter also makes a square to Venus in Pisces.
This adds to the feel good factor which may help alleviate some of the typical Full Moon feels and for some add to the goodness that is experienced at this time.
Venus makes a lovely semi-sextile aspect to the Moon in Libra bringing some of those more peaceful, harmonious, loving energies that we must aim to tap into at this Full Moon.
I hope that these aspects reassure you that this Full Moon is far from ‘bad’, even if intense. And equally that it offers us a powerful opportunity to make changes and/or to accept changes and make the most of the season we find ourselves in.
More to come with your Soulstrology Scopes, cosmic coaching, mantra and ritual but for now, let the contents of this blog sit with you, digest it and allow yourself to note what thoughts come to mind, and perhaps review the Libra ruled parts of each of your unique charts to think about those areas which la luna will be shining her spotlight on.
More coming soon….
