Saturn in Capricorn arrives at the Winter Solstice - December 21st 2017 - March 21 2020

This was my view on the morning before the Winter Solstice in Malibu. Darkness and light.

Hello lovely ones and happy Winter Solstice!

I am writing this the day before the Solstice, on Wednesday 20th December, and I am noticing both myself and others have a severe case of end of yearITIS - as I like to call it.

In my case it is manifesting as feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.

I am VERY glad to be taking a couple of weeks off (after one last reading tomorrow afternoon) and know that it will revive and refresh me and I will be as right as rain (as we like to say in England!) come the New Year.

If you are feeling all the feels of the end of year blues I just wanted to explain that cosmically speaking , it is completely normal for all of us to feel this way.

The Winter Solstice heralds the darkest day of the year.

It is the day with the least physical light and that has a physical impact on the mental health of many people during Winter time (SAD = Seasonal Affective Disorder is very real and affects many people).

The energy of the darkness of Winter builds to the Winter Solstice, the darkest day of the year, which also sees the Sun move into Capricorn.

This year we also experience the start of Saturn in Capricorn too with the cosmic life coach having edged into the Capricorn part of the zodiac the day before the Solstice.

Given Mercury is currently retrograde and readying himself to station direct, this year we also have an added heaviness and mind fog to add to the cosmic mix.

With this in mind, at the Winter Solstice it is a GREAT idea to write a burn and release list, which I know we usually reserve for Full Moons but Soulstrology says the darkness of the Winter Solstice encourages us to go deep within and identify and release all the darkness from our lives.

Given that Saturn is now in Capricorn and we are in Capricorn season this is also the perfect time to review (a la Mercury retrograde) where we are at in relation to the Capricorn ruled parts of our lives and include anything we want to release in our Winter Solstice release list.

I set out below the wording I recommend you to use in your release list and below that is the Soulstrology zodiac guide for Capricorn season which will help you to identify the areas of life in the solar spotlight in Capricorn season and which will be subject to stern Saturn over the next two and a half years.

"I release all of the below, because it does not serve me or my highest good. By releasing the below I make space for new positive energy to come in and manifest my heart's desires."

And speaking of the duration of Saturn in Capricorn, it is VERY poignant, powerful and NO cosmic coincidence whatsoever that this transit begins around a Winter Solstice and ends around a Spring Equinox.

Life is going to be SO different for each of us come Spring 2020!

Both in terms of the Capricorn ruled areas of life in our unique natal charts and in terms of the areas of life which Capricorn rules in the natural zodiac  - career, ambition, status, success, power, but ultimately our soul's legacy!

Never fear, we are going to have a ton of Soulstrology cosmic coaching blogs with Q and A's and meditations and more so you can all navigate this transit for your highest good!

For now though let's get through the Solstice and Mercury stationing direct and the muddled feelings that can create.

Take time to indulge in a Winter Solstice ritual tomorrow.

Think meditation, yoga, salt baths, hike in nature, burn and release list with candles.

All of the above, or any combination are ideal but even if you just do the burn and release list you will feel good!
