Hello lovely ones and happy almost New Moon!
This New Moon takes place this Wednesday March 6 2019 at 8.04am PT (adjust for your timezone) and falls at 15 degrees of Pisces.
You can use the Soulstrology zodiac guide at the bottom of this blog to check where this New Moon falls in your chart (make sure to read for both your Sun and Rising sign) and if you are more of a Soulstrology pro then you can check your unique natal chart to find exactly where 15 degrees of Pisces falls and where this New Moon falls exactly (as well as any planets you have at around 13-17 degrees of Pisces as their energies will be blended with this New Moon).
As you all know, Mercury is also retrograde in Pisces and in a few weeks time, Mercury will turn direct at 16 degrees of Pisces so almost the same degree as this New Moon.
This is no cosmic coincidence, and rather a beautiful cosmic synchronicity devised to assist us with getting the most out of this Mercury retrograde and the Pisces New Moon lunar cycle.
Given the New Moon takes place the day after Mercury turns retrograde, it is possible that the next lunar cycle will be one in which we may experience some delays with ‘new’ goals and may feel a sense of fogginess (that lovely Neptunian fog that Pisces season creates) and even a sense of feeling slightly stuck, or adrift.
Therefore as opposed to moving forwards boldly, we may instead want to harness the energies of this Mercury retrograde New Moon to ‘redo’ or ‘review’ or ‘reset’ or ‘reconcile’ (all things RE basically a la mercury retrograde) and perhaps revisit the past in some way…more on this in your Soulstrology Scopes coming soon.
Onward to the Soulstrology theme of this New Moon - dreams, reality and manifesting…
As you all probably know by now Pisces is ruled by Neptune - the god of the sea and we find Neptune right by this New Moon at 16 degrees of Pisces, meaning his energies are blended with the New Moon.
Neptune is the great dreamer, mystic and lover and in turn he is also the great creator and this planet and the sign of Pisces is associated with creativity and spirituality, and indeed taking dreams and mystical visions, and manifesting them into reality.
Neptune, just like the ocean is boundless, formless and vast.
This has its shadow and light.
The light being the capacity to dream big, indeed to dream a bigger dream, to be a visionary and creative.
However the shadow being that the god of the sea creates a foggy sea mist which can have us not seeing things, situations, people (even ourselves) clearly.
Deluding ourselves, being unrealistic, are all shadow traits of Pisces.
Neptune’s vastness is without borders or boundaries and as a result there is a risk of getting ‘lost at sea’ in the Pisces ruled parts of each of our charts.
This highlights the dilemma which many Pisceans find themselves grappling with much of the time and one which all the other zodiac signs may also grapple with in the Pisces ruled parts of each of our charts.
With Neptune essentially conjunct this New Moon we have both the light and the shadow of Neptune being the theme of the next lunar cycle.
On the one hand we may each tap into the dreamy, expansive, creativity in relation to the Pisces ruled parts of each of charts.
Seeing the vast, infinite potential, receiving mystical downloads as to what it is possible for us to both dream up and create.
On the other hand, we may be overly rose tinted. Unrealistic even. Deceiving ourselves as to what is possible and potentially being deceived by others. And consequently not manifesting, or, manifesting drama and chaos!
The cosmos is asking us to take off the rose tinted glasses, or wipe them clear of any Neptunian fog and to see things clearly for what they are. Not to lose sight of our dreams, but to keep reality in mind. To understand the practical realities (think Virgo, the opposing sign to Pisces) of what needs to happen to manifest our dreams.
Also, to enforce boundaries - a word/theme that so many Pisceans struggle with and that other zodiac signs may struggle with in relation to the Pisces ruled parts of our charts/lives.
Boundaries are the key to both freedom and manifesting and this is a theme for each of us over the next lunar cycle.
Thankfully the New Moon makes a stabilizing sextile aspect to Saturn in sensible Capricorn as well as Mars in grounded Taurus.
This helps us to tap into the pragmatic realism of sensible Saturn in Capricorn (the cosmic King of boundaries) who likes to see things in black and white and know what is needed to get from A to B to C….to eventually Z.
So too, Mars in Taurus aids us in being very grounded and taking a long term, committed, boundary loaded approach to our dreams.
Understanding that we need to take consistent practical action, be committed and take our time as we move towards manifesting our dreams into reality.
Let us remember that Chiron the wounded healer has only recently (two weeks ago) left Pisces and moved into Aries.
Even though he is in Aries he is at zero degrees and his energies blend with the start of Mercury retrograde in Pisces and are therefore significant to both this New Moon and this next lunar cycle.
When we fail to manifest in an area of our life it is normally because of wounds (Chiron).
Those wounds are often deeply ingrained within our sub-conscious mind (Pisces, who rules the sub-conscious and emotions and psychological issues which may not even be aware of).
Ultimately we manifest with our sub-conscious mind. Meaning that when we experience wounds in our lives, they stem from wounds within our psyche.
Since 2010 and Chiron’s transit of Pisces we would all have been tested and experienced wounds in the Pisces ruled parts of our lives.
Hopefully we would all have learnt great lessons too, had spiritual insights, transformed our wounds into wisdom and enforced boundaries, with ourselves and others, which should have led to success.
Now, with the aspects made by this New Moon and given this Mercury retrograde, we are each being asked to sow the seeds of a new chapter in the Pisces ruled parts of each of our charts/lives.
For some this may be practical, tangible goals and actions.
For others this may be more about our psyches and sowing the seeds of change within our consciousness so we experience a different reality.
Indeed, so we can manifest our dreams into reality.
Our job at this New Moon is to conduct a review of the Pisces ruled parts of our lives and to sow the seeds of change, not necessarily expecting huge shifts over the next month (although not counting this out - yes Mercury retrograde can slow us down but also truly does bring in miracles at times!) but to make subtle shifts within, which can flower externally post the retrograde, when we welcome in a new season (Spring for those of us in the Northern hemisphere).
Your Soulstrology Scopes will dive deep into this, but for now, allow these themes to sit with you.
Check in with yourself as to the dreams you have, your reality, the boundaries you do (or don’t) have and what might need to happen for you to manifest your dreams into reality.
Harness the power of the dark moon (the period before the New Moon where la luna disappears from the skies) and allow that emptiness and space in the heavens to help you create space internally and externally as we prepare to conduct our Pisces New Moon ritual.
More soon, but for now, see the Soulstrology zodiac guide below to this Pisces New Moon which I am including for your ease of reference.
