Hello lovely ones and happy almost Full Moon and Spring Equinox (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere).
This Full Moon is super powerful and significant for a number of reasons.
It is the first of two consecutive Full Moons in Libra and aligns with the Spring Equinox and the Sun’s entry into Aries at 6.45pm PT on Wednesday March 20 2019 (as always, adjust for your timezone).
With the Sun at zero degrees of Aries and the Moon at zero degrees of Libra this is indeed a ‘critical’ Full Moon.
As you may recall both the beginning degree of a sign - zero degrees - and the end degree - 29 degrees are known as critical degrees which activate a deeper connection to the cosmic transit and make the cosmic energies at play more intense.
This combined with the change of seasons into Spring (and Fall for those in the Southern hemisphere) makes this Full Moon very much a game changer, hence the Soulstrology title/theme of endings and beginnings.
To make it easier for you to follow the life areas being illuminated by the Full Moon please see the Soulstrology Zodiac blogs at the end of this post with a guide to both Aries and Libra.
As always, read for both your Sun and Rising sign.
Also, please note if you have any planets between zero - three degrees of Aries or Libra pay particular attention to the themes of those planets as they will be triggered by this Full Moon.
Let us turn now to the planetary aspects of this Full Moon and the themes this raises for us to deal with.
You are all probably aware that there has been some big outer planetary movement over the last month with cosmic change agent Uranus moving out of Aries and into Taurus where he will now be for the next seven years and wounded healer Chiron moving out of Pisces and into Aries where he will be for the next eight years.
These are both very significant to each of us and the Pisces/Aries/Taurus parts of our lives as they indicate the ending of certain chapters and the beginnings of others.
For the purposes of this Full Moon this post will only focus on the Aries parts of our lives which is being highlighted at this time.
Even though the Full Moon is in Libra, as with every Full Moon, it opposes the Sun - now in Aries, a part of the zodiac (and therefore our lives) which has seen a lot of transition since Uranus moved into Aries in 2010.
The Aries ruled parts of each of our charts/lives should have experienced great upheaval, upsets and ultimately a new era since 2010, ending now with the departure of Uranus earlier this month.
Ultimately this has been to liberate us. To free us of our own often self-imposed limitations (or those imposed by society) and to push us into birthing a new paradigm.
This is not only to be celebrated but in many ways we may find ourselves breathing a sigh of relief.
Uranus is known for pulling the rug out from underneath us in order to shake things up a bit but this can have us face planting rather painfully….
Therefore this new paradigm, a new era, which is less tumultuous and has smoother seas to sail upon is to be celebrated.
However, we need to take into account the move of Chiron the wounded healer into the Aries part of the zodiac and our charts.
At the time of this Full Moon, Chiron is just over a degree away from the Sun in Aries - so his energies are conjunct the Sun (the essence of the energies are blended and combined) and therefore just as the Sun opposes the Moon, so too does Chiron…
Hopefully you all know by now the intensity of an opposition (and why Full Moons tend to be so intense!) but add wounded healer Chiron into the mix of an opposition and it intensifies things even further.
Although it may seem like it (depending on what is going on in our unique lives and charts) any pain we may be experiencing at this time are not only necessary but they play a powerful role in the process of this new chapter we are experiencing in the Aries ruled parts of our lives.
When we create something new in our lives, we tend to also experience trials and tribulations, errors and mishaps and sometimes pain and suffering.
I like to think of this of the inevitable growing pains of a sweet new chapter.
We receive something (or create it - however you want to look at it or term it) and then invariably something goes ‘wrong’ or perhaps causes us ‘pain’ of sorts - teething or growing pains.
But every rose has its thorn….and these pains are a necessary part of this new chapter.
This is the theme of this particular Full Moon which (as always!) has been set up by the cosmos for us to experience certain energies providing us with the ideal cosmic window to work with the celestial configurations, mind, body and soul.
At this Full Moon we need to be aware of the troubles we may be experiencing in either the Aries or Libra ruled parts of our lives.
This is a message from the wounded healer Chiron who will be working his way through the Aries ruled parts of our lives for several years in turn opposing the Libra ruled parts of our lives and perhaps causing some pain and discomfort there too.
Remember, this pain or difficulty has purpose. It is there to teach us lessons we need to learn in this new terrain we are navigating in the Aries ruled parts of our lives (which has a direct impact on the opposing Libra ruled part of our lives) and this process will ultimately embolden us with wisdom and energy which we will use to manifest and uplift these areas of life.
There will be further detail on how to harness this Chiron aspect in your Soulstrology scopes with cosmic coaching, a customized ritual and more…
But for now, let us turn to the other aspects at play at this Spring Equinox Full Moon and the other energies and themes of consciousness they create for us to work with on this earth plane…
Venus the ruler of this Full Moon (as the ruler of Libra) is in Aquarius.
Here, she is rebellious, eccentric, unpredictable and does not behave in her typical Venusian manner.
She also makes a tense square aspect to Mars (the ruler of the Sun in Aries) who is in grounded, earthy, but also stubborn, Taurus.
This tense square between the two rulers of this Spring Equinox Full Moon will simply add to the tension which may be felt at this time, particularly in relation to relationships, finances and creative projects.
Mars does make a beautiful trine aspect to Pluto in Capricorn, giving us the energy to take constructive action to transform (I think you all know by now that Pluto is all about transformation!) ourselves or our lives, depending on what the Full Moon illuminates.
Venus makes a harmonizing sextile aspect to Jupiter in Sagittarius bringing the themes of justice, healing and even miracles into the mix.
In summary, although this is an intense Full Moon and one in which we may feel deep Chirotic wounds (depending on our unique charts and where we are on our unique journeys) it is also one where we can truly bid farewell to some of the upheavals of the last nine years and where we can embrace a beautiful new beginning for all that it will entail; the rough and the smooth, knowing that as the saying goes, we can complain that rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorns have roses….
More coming soon but for now check out the Soulstrology zodiac guides below and start thinking about the life areas which will be illuminated at this Equinox Full Moon.
